Confessions of a mall Santa

I have a confession to make. I used to be Santa Claus. Not the real Santa, of course, but one of the mall Santa to help the Big Guy in red, fill in department stores and shopping malls around the country to speak with children and with their images photographed with them. A lot of time job that lasts only a month one year from Christmas Eve until after Thanksgiving.

How did I get into this concert? In response to a help wanted ad in the local newspaper thathe said simply. "Now Hiring Santa Claus training provided." And a number. I had no idea until that day, the temporary employment agencies supplied Father Christmas shop, but as a child I would sit in his lap big elf, I said to my holiday wish, and truly believes that he is GI Joe, to offer the bike Schwinn and Daisy BB gun, I asked. The opportunity to learn the secrets of magic, Santa Claus, spreading joy, children, and paid at the same time, it seemed too good to pass up.

Santa ClausSchool, it turned out, was an event all day, and a serious commitment. The company showed a video of Santa Claus in a successful conversation with the children, showed us all how to put on our costumes, a pillow to apply the padding to match the correct wig and beard, and how to add a touch of Add white eyebrow make-up and natural hair of the face exposed. And more importantly, we learned the "do" and "don'ts" Trade Santa Claus. Please note that the child to be good, a good laugh at school and for the camera, and the child calls a spade. Do not expect special gifts (unless, by a nod the adult accompanying the child will be asked) does not relate to the child "parents" or "mom and dad," as many children are in single parent homes, or gathered from other relatives instead of Santa Claus would always refer to "your people" - and not (this is great) "Ho Ho Ho". According to Ho Ho Ho tend to have some children, especially younger people who are a little 'concerned by Santa for the initial shock. Santa Clauswas jovial and friendly, but not scary, so I had to go Ho Ho.

What can I get from this experience, in addition to payroll promise was a feeling that has brought joy and wonder in the lives of many children. In addition, a pair of red pants wet little Santa when adolescents' too excited, "has become and not visit the rest room before Christmas and have visited the amusement park, when some" children growing up, "they decided to put their pictures with Santa andthe experience was certainly worth it. The most interesting "person", was on Santa's lap for a young woman, the ferret. The ferret was friendly and enjoyed their visit, especially the ability to crawl through the beard of Santa Claus. Its owner said the image of Santa with a beard in Ferret Wendy would grace Christmas cards this year. It 'been a great experience fun. So if you can as children, have a great race, and can find work, where a shopping mall Santa is a part-time work is not. Beat
